turning exhaustion into exploration
i use this simple trick that helps me shift my perspective on whatever i’m dealing with at the moment. i swap the verb with “exploring,” and everything turns into something a bit more like an experience, training, or even curiosity instead of pressure.
here are some examples:
- dealing with stuff -> exploring what's going on
- learning a language -> exploring a new language
- getting older -> exploring how i change over time
- failing -> exploring what didn't work
- procrastinating -> exploring why i'm avoiding this
- breakups -> exploring how i relate to people
- social anxiety -> exploring how i feel around people
